You’ll never experience folk music in more beautiful surroundings than by candlelight, in the stunning venue of the All Hallows Church at Woolbeding.
Anna Tabbush & Alexandra Urquhart perform traditional and self-penned folk songs with violin/viola and guitar accompaniment. Both are professional musicians highly regarded in their fields, with a passion for exploring musical possibilities.
Anna Tabbush is a folk singer/song-writer and multi-instrumentalist, community choir leader, choral arranger and composer based in Midhurst. She grew up in a musical household and started performing professionally at the tender age of 15 in her parents’ ceilidh band. She performed with a number of folk bands including MoltenAmba, The Tabbush Sisters, Meridian, The Climax Ceilidh Band, Anna & the Odd Socks and the European Youth Folk Orchestra.
Anna started her first community choir at Kingston University while studying for a degree in Music and Technology. Since then she has set up over 20 community choirs and conducted over 40 across the South-East. She currently runs 5 choirs across West Sussex and Surrey and 2 large singing events a year: SingFest and Spring Sing. Her arrangements of folk and contemporary songs from Britain and around the world have been sung by choirs across the country.
